Carrying out campaigns to popularize the scheme for separate collection and recycling of packaging waste

DESCRIPTION:

The activity envisages the organization and conduct of eight demonstration information campaigns on the territory of Banite municipality (two in each populated place where containers for separate collection of packaging waste will be placed). The campaigns will be of a demonstration nature and will present the benefits of separate collection and recycling. For each campaign, press releases will be distributed on local radio channels, through the website of the project and the municipality of Banite. Information leaflets will be prepared for each campaign, which will provide information on the types of waste that will be collected in the colored containers; about the ways in which this waste should be disposed of and the benefits of recycling it. Each campaign will be held within one day, in which the inhabitants of the respective locality will be able to receive information about the benefits and ways of separate collection and recycling of packaging waste from their households. For each campaign, the marquee purchased under the project will be used and photographic material will be prepared. The campaigns will be held twice during the project implementation period. The first time immediately after the introduction of the scheme, the second - one year after the introduction of the scheme.

 

WAY OF IMPLEMENTATION:

The activity will be performed by external contractors of public procurement contracts under the project. Information and communication activities will be awarded in one public order with several separate items, according to the provisions of the Public Procurement Act for conducting procedures through joint awarding. The selected contractors will be responsible for designing and producing and delivering the informational materials for the campaign, preparing the execution script, preparing and distributing press releases, providing event host(s) and preparing photographic material. All activities carried out by the contractors will be reported with the submission of a report and supporting evidence of the work performed. For the purposes of conducting the campaigns, charters will be purchased (one for the municipality of Smolyan and one for the municipality of Banite), which will be placed at the center of each campaign as a "starting point" for reducing the amount of landfilled waste.

 

RESULT:

As a result of the implementation of the activity, eight one-day campaigns will be organized and conducted to popularize the scheme for separate collection of packaging waste on the territory of populated areas in Banite municipality. Press releases will be prepared and distributed and 400 copies will be prepared and distributed. information leaflets (50 for each campaign).
